As a Ripon native, Annaliese Ippolito Reed is honored to be giving back to the same community that once nurtured her as a young musician.
Annie began her musical career as a young student of violin at the Modesto Suzuki Association. She added viola, piano, and eventually cello lessons to her schedule as a homeschooler. After high school Annie went on to obtain a Bachelors in viola performance from University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music in Stockton, CA and a Masters in viola performance from the Bob Cole Conservatory at California State University, Long Beach. As a violist, Annie has been a member of the Opera Modesto Orchestra, CSULB University String Quartet, American Youth Symphony and the Young Artists Symphony Orchestra.
With equal passion for performing and teaching, Ms. Reed has registered extensive pedagogical training with the Suzuki Association of the Americas in the areas of violin, viola, and cello. She also recently completed all five stages of training for Suzuki Early Childhood Education.
Annie is currently the String Program Director for the Modesto Suzuki Association, and was both a program director and teaching artist with Elemental Music and El Segundo Seaside Strings.
Annie currently manages her private Suzuki studio in Ripon, teaches for the Modesto Suzuki Association, and plays viola in the Opera Modesto orchestra. When not teaching, she is homeschooling her children, sewing, and playing boardgames with family and friends.
